Licensing Overview

Goal

Review your organization’s licenses on the Licensing dashboard and activate a license key so licensed features and runtimes can run.

Before you start

• Prerequisites: A signed-in account in the organization whose licenses you manage, and a license key to activate (for the activation flow).
• Required role/permission: Viewing the dashboard is available to members; activating / managing licenses requires administrative rights.
• Settings that affect behavior:
  • Active organization — licenses are scoped to the selected organization.
  • License status — an expired, exhausted, or unactivated license blocks the features/runtimes it covers; starting a runtime can fail if no valid license is available (see Runtime control overview).
  • Edge device binding — a license activated for an edge device is tied to that device’s identity; see License status on edge device.

Steps

1. Open the Licensing dashboard at /portal/licensing.
2. Review your licenses, their status, seats/usage, and expiry.
3. To add a license, go to activation at /portal/licensing/activation.
4. Enter your license key and activate it.
5. Confirm the license now shows as active on the dashboard.
