Sign Out

Goal

End your portal session cleanly. Signing out clears the local portal session and performs a Keycloak single-logout so the browser is no longer authenticated.

Before you start

• Prerequisites: An active signed-in session (see Sign in).
• Required role/permission: None — any signed-in user can sign out.
• Settings that affect behavior:
  • Keycloak single sign-out — if your realm has SSO across several apps, signing out of the portal may also terminate sessions in other connected applications.
  • Concurrent sessions — signing out terminates only the current browser session; other sessions for the same user remain active until they are signed out or expire (see Concurrent sessions).

Note

After sign-out the portal returns to the Keycloak login page; protected routes under /portal/* redirect there until you sign in again.

Steps

1. Open the user/account menu in the portal top bar (your avatar or account name).
2. Choose Sign out (or Log out).
3. The portal clears its session and redirects through Keycloak logout back to the login page.
